Extract Technology Classification
According to the extracted materials, extraction equipment is divided into plant extraction and animal extraction.
Plant extraction takes the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits of plants as raw materials, through the process of physical and chemical extraction and separation, to obtain one or more active ingredients in plants. Plant extraction has been widely used in Chinese herbal medicine, health food, Food additives, feed, cosmetics and other fields.
The plant extraction system consists of an extraction tank, nitrogen protection system, steam and temperature control system, slag discharging system, liquid extracts discharging and conveying system, water metering system, and automatic process control system.
Its process characteristics are:
- It can be extracted at normal pressure, positive pressure and negative pressure, suitable for the extraction of various plant materials (such as roots, flowers, leaves, etc.), and the extraction process is flexible and diverse;
- Two modes of pressure discharge and power discharge can be adopted, the material discharge speed is fast, and excessive extraction is avoided;
- Special paddle stirring improves the extraction ratio and prevents material accumulation at the same time. Easy for slag discharging and improving production efficiency.
Animal extraction is using animal body tissues or organs as raw materials through mild biological enzymatic hydrolysis extraction or boiling extraction and then concentrated, and spray-dried into powder meat extracts, such as pork bones, beef bones, fish bones, and chicken bones extraction.
The animal extraction equipment system consists of a high-pressure extraction tank, CIP cleaning device, automatic temperature control system, direct steam injection system, automatic feeding system, slag discharging conveying system, liquid extract discharging and circulation system, water metering system, and automatic control system.
The animal extraction system solves the problems of low efficiency, poor safety, low integration and automation of hard bone extraction. It can increase the extraction rate by 20% and save energy by more than 20%. It is widely used in the extraction of pork bones, beef bones, chicken bones and even seafood.
According to extraction medium, it can be divided into water extraction and alcohol extraction.
Water extraction: It is a method of adding water to raw materials and extracting juice by heating. This method is the earliest simple leaching method used, and it is still the most commonly used method for preparing leaching preparations.
Alcohol extraction: The raw materials are extracted with a certain concentration of ethanol by percolation and reflux, and alkaloids and their salts, glycosides, volatile oils and organic acids can be extracted.
According to the extraction method, it can be divided into:
Atmospheric pressure extraction (<100℃): realize high temperature/cold extraction under atmospheric pressure.
High-pressure extraction (≥100°C): high-temperature and high-pressure extraction can be realized, making the extraction more thorough and shortening the extraction time.
Negative pressure extraction (50-80℃): Through the action of vacuum, negative pressure extraction is realized, which can better accelerate the exudation of nutrients and maintain the color and flavor of the material.
Ultrasonic extraction: a new process for extraction by ultrasonic vibration, so that the solvent can quickly enter the solid material, and the organic components contained in the material are dissolved in the solvent as completely as possible to obtain a multi-component mixed extract. The extraction temperature is low, the extraction rate is high, and the extraction time is short, and it is widely used in the extraction of effective content of Chinese medicinal materials and various animals and plants.
Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE): Also known as pressure fluid extraction, it uses supercritical fluid as an extractant to extract certain high-boiling components from liquids and solids for the purpose of separation and purification.

The Main Active Ingredients Extracted
- Alkaloids: Plant alkaloids, an alkaline nitrogen-containing organic compound, has significant biological activity or toxicity, and are an important active ingredient in Chinese herbal medicine.
- Flavonoids: It is widely found in various parts of plants, especially in flowers and leaves. About 20% of Chinese herbal medicines contain flavonoids, which are rich in resources.
- Polysaccharides: Polysaccharide compounds are composed of more than 10 monosaccharides, such as starch, and cellulose.
- Glycosides: Substances in which sugars are combined with a substance (phenols, flavonoids).
- Organic acids: The most effective alternatives to antibiotics.

Multifunctional automatic extraction tank
The multifunctional automatic extraction tank is the current traditional Chinese medicine extraction equipment. It is mainly used for water extraction and organic solvent extraction of materials in the pharmaceutical, food, chemical and other industries. It can realize various process operations such as atmospheric pressure, high-pressure extraction, warm soaking, percolation, and thermal reflow.
- The slag discharge door adopts a three-cylinder rotary self-locking quick-open door, a single-cylinder opens and closes, a double cylinder rotates to push the locking ring to lock, and the inclined wedge is self-locking. Solve leakage or decoupling accidents caused by unstable compressed air source pressure.
- The sealing ring of the slag discharge door adopts a special shape. Straight cone type extraction tank
the extraction equipment tank body is small at the top and large at the bottom; the slag discharge door is rotated and well sealed and suitable for pressurized extraction. It can be heated by steam in the jacket of the tank, and reflux, percolation, thermal reflux and circulating countercurrent extraction can be performed.
It has the characteristics of a large heating area, fast boiling, large liquid discharge area at the bottom, smooth liquid discharge and convenient slag discharge.
Mushroom type extraction tank
the upper cylinder is larger and the lower is smaller like mushroom type; the liquid inlet is tangential, the pneumatic slag discharge door is installed, and the bottom is equipped with a heating drum and a filter sleeve, which can perform reflux, percolation, heat reflux, and two-way circulation and countercurrent extraction. The heating form is jacket and bottom heating.
Advantages: tangential liquid feeding, forming dynamic effect, quickly dissolving floating medicinal materials, and improving extraction efficiency; large upper and a lower buffer area of the cylinder body, fast heat transfer from the lower part, short heating and boiling time; using bottom heating to maintain boiling. It can avoid the phenomenon of the explosion, and the safety factor is high.
Hanging basket extraction tank
The hanging basket extraction tank solves the problems of traditional extraction of medicinal materials with thick accumulation layers and less circulation, resulting in long decoction time and low yield. Its special structure and supporting circulation mode effectively shorten the extraction time and improve the clarity, yield and efficacy of the medicinal liquid.
- The slag discharge door adopts a rotary self-locking quick door. Rotary locking structure, no need to inflate, high-pressure bearing, no deformation or leakage after long-term work.
- The new oil-water separator has a good oil-water separation effect, which is convenient for oil collection and can automatically collect aromatic oil.
- The liquid outlet pipe is using a hard pipe to replace the traditional hose connection, which does not leak, has a long service life, and is safe and reliable.
