Description of Sea Buckthorn Processing Line
- Sea buckthorn berry is widely cultivated in deserts, and arid regions, such as northwest China, Mongolia, northern Pakistan, Russia, and the coastlines of Eastern Europe and Central Asia because of its drought resistance, and resistance, and the ability to grow in saline-alkali land.
- Sea buckthorn berry is rich in vitamins and fatty acids, as well as active substances such as sea buckthorn flavonoids and superoxide and various amino acids. It has the effect of beautifying the face, strengthening the spleen and nourishing the stomach, and delaying aging.
- The sea buckthorn berry can proceed into concentrated juice, RTD juice, sauce, powder and the seeds can proceed into the oil products.
- The juice yield rate of the sea buckthorn berry can reach to 80% with the enzymatic hydrolysis and juice extracting process.

Sea Buckthorn Processing Line End Products and Package
Concentrated sea buckthorn berry juice: from 10 Brix single strength juice concentrated to 30 Brix, and after sterilizing then filling into aseptic bags in drums. It can be used to make the RTD sea buckthorn berry juice as raw materials.
RTD sea buckthorn berry juice: Concentrated sea buckthorn juice after diluted with water and other flavoring agents, then sterilizing, homogenizing and degassing, filled into the bottles, cartons, and cans.
Sea buckthorn berry powder: concentrated sea buckthorn juice will be dried by spray pressure dryer, then filled into pouches or jars.
Sea buckthorn berry oil: Oil is the byproduct of the processing line. After the pulp and seeds are separated in the pulping machine, then the seeds can be dried and fed to oil screw extractors and made into edible oil.

Concentrated sea buckthorn juice processing flowchart
The fresh sea buckthorn after harvest needs to store in refrigerators(-18℃to -30℃). So before processing, the fruits need to thaw. After thaw, the fruits will be fed into the destemming machine to remove the stems on the fruits, then the fruits will be loaded to the bubble washing machine for washing clean of fruits, then the clean sea buckthorn fruits will be sent to the hammer mill for crushing, after crushing, the fruits will be pumped to the double stage pulping machine to remove the seeds and peels, then we obtain the sea buckthorn pulp, then the pulp will be pumped to the enzymatic hydrolysis tank to increase the juice yield rate.  But in order to remove the big fiber and solids and oil in the pulp, the following decanter centrifuge and disk centrifuge separator will be applied to the treatment of the sea buckthorn juice. Then we obtain the pure sea buckthorn juice, then the juice can be sent to the evaporator and spray dryer to make it into concentrated juice or power. And the concentrated juice will be sterilized and filled into aseptic bags.

Sea Buckthorn Juice Processing Line Key Machine Introduction
Sea buckthorn berry destemming machine
The sea buckthorn destemming machine can be used for sea buckthorn stalk separation, fruit crushing and pulp conveying. Its main technical feature is that it is first de-stemmed and then pulverized, and a mobile single-screw pump is used to transport the pulp. Stepless speed regulation feeding screw to achieve quantitative feeding. The device can adjust the rotational speed according to the variety of the sea buckthorn fruit, and has strong adaptability to the variety of the sea buckthorn fruit. The crushing roller is made of non-toxic high-elastic rubber, which has no damage to the sea buckthorn core. Sea buckthorn berry fruit contact parts are made of high-quality 304 stainless steel.
Sea buckthorn berry washing and milling machine
The destemmed and thaw berry fruits will be uploaded to the air bubble washing machine to remove the foreign matters. The machine uses high-pressure water to spray the fruit to reach cleaning effects. After cleaning, the sea buckthorn fruits will be lifted to a hammer milling machine to crush the fruits, the hammer mill can crush the fruit into 3-5mm fruit pulp, which will be easy to pulping in the following process.
Sea buckthorn berry pulping machine
The pulping machine will break the berry fruits into smaller pulp (size is 0.6mm), and the fruit seeds are separated by the sieve screen. The pulping machine is also made of SUS304 material and the capacity is from 3 tons per hour to 20 tons per hour available.
Sea buckthorn berry pulp enzymatic hydrolysis system
The enzymatic hydrolysis of sea buckthorn juice is carried out in an enzymatic hydrolysis tank, dosing 0.4g/L of pectinase to the enzymatic hydrolysis tank, and reacting at 50°C for about 2-4 hours, most of the pectinase in the sea buckthorn juice is decomposed.
The enzymolysis tank is a three-layer jacketed tank with stirring, equipped with thermometer, flow meter, CIP cleaning ball, inlet and outlet of material liquid, inlet and outlet of heating medium or cooling medium. The enzymatic hydrolysis time lasts 3-4 hours, so when equipped with enzymatic hydrolysis tanks, 4 sets are required to meet the needs of continuous production.
Sea buckthorn berry juice centrifuge separating system
There is two-stage centrifuge separation during sea buckthorn juice production, the first process is using two phase decanter centrifuge separating, the main purpose is separating and removing the solids in the juice, after the decanter centrifuge, the juice solids will be 10-50μm.
Then the disc stack centrifuge separator will be used for the second separation, it requires three phase separator to remove the oil in the juice and make the juice clear.
Sea buckthorn berry juice evaporating system and spray drying system
The sea buckthorn juice will be fed into the falling film evaporator for making the concentrated juice, after concentration, the juice will be 3 times more solids than the single-strength juice. The falling film evaporator is composed of the evaporation chamber, cooler, heating chamber and vacuum device, the whole process is fully automatic and all the data like temperature, vacuum degree, flowrate, Brix are precisely controlled by the instruments, saving energy and high efficiency.
If the end product is sea buckthorn powder, then after concentrating, the juice will be fed into the spray dryer to get the powder.
Sea buckthorn berry juice sterilizing and filling system
The concentrated sea buckthorn juice will be UHT sterilized, and filling into the aseptic bags. And the sterilizing is about 115-125℃for 15S, the tubular sterilizer will be applied.
If make the RTD juice, then the juice can be pasteurized and filled into bottles and cans at hot temperatures.
