Chocolate Melting Tank Introduction
An industrial chocolate melting tank is a specialized piece of equipment used in the chocolate manufacturing process. Its primary function is to melt and maintain a consistent temperature for chocolate, ensuring that it remains in a liquid state for various production purposes. Here’s how it typically works:
Melting Chocolate: Solid chocolate, typically in the form of chocolate blocks or pellets, is placed into the melting tank.
Heating System: The tank is equipped with a heating system, which may use hot water, oil, or electric heaters to melt the chocolate. The heating system is designed to gradually and evenly melt the chocolate without burning or overheating it.
Temperature Control: The industrial chocolate melting tank has precise temperature control mechanisms to maintain the melted chocolate at a specific temperature. This temperature is crucial for the quality and texture of the chocolate, as different chocolate varieties require different tempering temperatures.
Agitation: Many melting tanks are equipped with scraped agitators or stirrers to ensure uniform heating and prevent the chocolate from settling or forming lumps. Agitation also helps in achieving the desired consistency.
Thermal Insulation: The tank is often thermally insulated to retain the heat and keep the melted chocolate at the desired temperature for an extended period.
Dispensing: Once the chocolate is melted and properly tempered, it can be dispensed from the tank for various production processes. This could include coating confections, molding chocolate bars, or other chocolate-based products.
Chocolate Melting Tank ApplicationÂ
It is mainly used for chocolate melting, post-ripening, aging, etc., and is widely used in the ice cream food industry. It uses electric heating and is independently controlled by a power distribution cabinet, making it easy to use. They are commonly used in chocolate factories, confectionery plants, and other food processing facilities where chocolate is a key ingredient. These tanks come in various sizes to accommodate different production volumes and can be part of a larger automated chocolate manufacturing line.
Chocolate Melting Tank FeatureÂ
-  Tank Volume: 30L, 100L, 300L, 500L, 1000L~5000L are available for choose from.
- Heating method: Electric heating is used to achieve uniform heating without cold areas. Thermal oil or water is injected into the jacket as the heating medium to generate heat energy to heat the materials in the tank.
- Temperature control: An electric thermocouple is used to measure the temperature and is connected to a temperature controller to measure and control the temperature (temperature difference ± ≤ 1°C), and the temperature of the material can be adjusted. The temperature controller is installed in the electric control box, and the temperature transmission rod is inserted directly into the bottom of the tank, so that the temperature of the material liquid can be indicated even when it is at a low position.
- Tank body: The inner surface is mirror polished, with a roughness Ra≤0.4μm.
- Inner tank bottom structure: It is spun and processed into an R angle. After welding and polishing with the inner tank body, there is no dead angle. It is tilted at 5° toward the discharge port to facilitate the discharge of materials without retention.
- Tank Jacket form: full jacket, used to add thermal oil or water to achieve optimal heating and cooling during operation.
- Insulation material: Use filled pearl wool, rock wool or polyurethane to cast and foam to maintain the temperature difference with the outside world and achieve heat insulation effect.
- Surface treatment method of outer shell: mirror polishing or 2B primary color matt or 2B frosted matt.
- Stirring device: The top center scrapes the wall for stirring. The output shaft of the reducer and the stirring paddle shaft are connected by a loop, which is convenient for disassembly, assembly and cleaning.
- Equipment configuration: electrical control box, temperature sensor, liquid level sensor, material liquid inlet and outlet, medium inlet and outlet (oil inlet and outlet), vent (oil overflow hole), etc.
- Tank Material: The inner tank is SUS304 or SUS316L; the jacket is Q235-B or SUS304; the outer protective shell is SUS304.
- The process openings of each inlet and outlet and the welding joints of the inner tank adopt flanging arc transition, which is smooth and easy to clean without dead corners and has a beautiful appearance.
- Large opening lid, frame-type mixing belt scraping wall, electric heating, automatic temperature control, automatic injection of cooling water for cooling.
