Industrial RO Water System Feature

Industrial RO water systems have several key features that make them a popular choice for water treatment in various industries. Some of the features of industrial RO water treatment systems include:

  • High efficiency: RO water treatment systems are highly efficient in removing dissolved salts, minerals, and other impurities from water, making it suitable for various applications.
  • Low operating costs: RO systems have low operating costs as they require less energy and chemicals compared to other water treatment technologies, such as distillation.
  • Easy to maintain: RO systems are easy to maintain and have a long lifespan when properly maintained, with only periodic replacement of membranes and other components.
  • Scalable: Industrial RO systems can be designed to handle large volumes of water, making them ideal for use in various industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and power generation.
  • Consistent water quality: RO systems provide consistent water quality, ensuring that water meets the required specifications for various applications.
  • Environmentally friendly: RO systems produce less waste compared to other water treatment technologies, and the treated water can be reused for various applications, reducing water consumption and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Flexibility: RO systems can be designed and customized to meet the specific needs of various industries, with different levels of automation, control systems, and pre- and post-treatment options available.
  • Food grade material: All the RO water treatment systems are made of SUS304 material, which ensures producing high quality of pure water.

Application and Purpose of Industrial RO Water System

The purpose of RO water treatment is to use physical or chemical methods to remove suspended solids, colloids, soluble impurities and microorganisms in the water to reduce water hardness, turbidity, alkalinity and chromaticity and other physical and chemical indicators, while achieving the sanitary indicators of drinking water.

RO reverse osmosis water treatment equipment is widely used in the food and beverage industry. Reverse osmosis technology can remove impurities such as inorganic ions, bacteria, viruses, organic matter and colloids in raw water to obtain high-quality purified water. Purified drinking water and softened water generating system is one of the important components of the beverage production line for bottled drinking water, fruit juice, beer and wine in the beverage industry. At the same time, the boiler softened water and CIP cleaning water in the beverage factory can also be generated by RO water treatment system.

Composition Of Industrial RO Water System

The RO water treatment system process can be divided into water filtration equipment, water softening equipment and water sterilization equipment, it is composed of raw water tank, raw water pump, quartz sand filter, active carbon filter, Ion softener, safeguard filter, RO equipment, scale inhibitor equipment, dosing device, Ozone sterilizer/UV sterilizer, pure water pump and pure water tank, pipes, valves, connections and independent electronic control cabinet. The whole system is made of SUS304 food-grade material.

The RO water storage tank is made of SUS304 material and 3mm thick with a liquid level sensor. The volume is from 500L to 50000L available.

Sand Filter, Active Carbon Filter And Ion Softener

These three equipment are also called the water pre-filtration system and multi-media filter system. And these three filters are also made of SUS304 material and lining with food-grade rubber material. The sand filter can remove large particles in water and lower SDI value in water; The active carbon has adsorption and turbidity removal function, It is mainly used to remove organic impurities and water molecular colloidal particles in water and dechlorination. Ion exchanger or ion softener can make water soft desalt. The sodium ions in the resin are used to replace calcium and magnesium ions in the water to achieve the purpose of water softening.

Reverse Osmosis Equipment

The primary filtered water is transported to the reverse osmosis device by the high-pressure pump. Before entering the RO membrane, the security filter further filters the impurities in the water to protect the RO membrane and extend the service life of the RO equipment. The reverse osmosis device uses a reverse osmosis membrane to separate the solvent from the solution. It can be used in water treatment to remove bacteria, viruses, colloids and organic matter in the water, and the salt removal rate can be as high as 99.7%, thereby obtaining pure water. According to the quality of the raw water, we can supply one stage osmosis or double stage reverse osmosis. The reverse osmosis membrane is the most critical part of the RO device, and we use imported HYDRANAUTICS or DOW membranes to guarantee the performance of the machine.

Ozone sterilizer / UV sterilizer

The sterilization of purified water can generally be divided into two types. The first is ozone sterilization. The ozone mixer fully mixes ozone and water, and uses the strongly oxidizing properties of ozone to kill bacteria in the water. It can also be used to deodorize and decolor pure water. During the sterilization process, the ratio of ozone to water is about 1 ton of water mixed with 2-5g ozone. The other is ultraviolet sterilization. The principle is that after the microorganisms in the water are irradiated by the ultraviolet lamp, the protein and nucleic acid of the microorganisms absorb the energy of the ultraviolet spectrum, which causes the protein to denature and cause the death of the microorganism.

Electronic Control System

The whole system is controlled by PLC and touchscreen, it is full automatic from raw water to pure drinking water generating.

Working Process Of Industrial RO Water System

The raw water from the water source( tap water, deep well water, lake water, mountain spring water) is pumped to the raw water tank by a water pump, and then the water is delivered to the multi-media filter (quartz sand filter, activated carbon filter and resin softener) through raw water pump, preliminarily filter will remove large particles, suspended solids and colloidal impurities in the raw water. The pre-filtered water is then pumped into the reverse osmosis device through a high-pressure pump to remove organic matter, salt and some microorganisms in the water. After the filtered purified water is sterilized by ultraviolet rays or ozone mixer, it is delivered to the pure water tank by a water pump.
